Tunisia's newborn eagle

After the revolution, the Tunisian private company Syphax Airlines was born from the desire to contribute to economic development and tourism in southern Tunisia, and creating growth engines and jobs in the Sfax region in particular and nationally in general. Long neglected by the former regime, this region has great potential skills and infrastructure but it's underutilized, hence the conviction of the implementation of Syphax Airlines at the airport of Sfax Thyna.
Launched in 2011 by businessman Mohamed Frikha, Group CEO of TELNET, Syphax Airlines, is a scheduled airline to serve destinations in the Mediterranean with an optimized management and cost effective system. The research department that conducted the Business Plan Syphax Airlines is none other than Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, a leading global provider of consulting General Management.
With 45 offices in 34 countries and operating successfully in all major international markets, the company also benefits from logistical support TELNET, a group specializing in consultancy in innovation and new technologies and national leader in his trade.
For reasons of efficiency, control and performance, Syphax Airlines has opted for its launch, for a fleet of two Airbus A319, dubbed "Karama" and "Horria," referring to the revolution that marked the Tunisians during year 2011.Two other devices will increase the fleet from the fourth year of operation and in development activities of the company (serving destinations such as North America-USA and Canada mainly) and following the opening of the Tunisian sky international competition. Not to mention the possibility of development of the freight service.
Note that the feasibility study adopted a development strategy and opted for the month of June 2012 (high season) as the start of this enterprise. Component locations, the network of Syphax Airlines (based at the airport of Sfax Thyna), will consist of international destinations, mainly to France provided with daily flights to Paris, three bi-weekly flights to Marseille, Lyon, Nice and Rome and two weekly flights to Casablanca, Istanbul and Benghazi. In the longer term, and depending on the circumstances, special flights could then be organized to other destinations in Europe, the Middle East or the Americas.
Concerning aspects of staffing, Syphax Airlines has created 150 jobs, 80% of graduates of higher education, draws on the expertise and Tunisian expertise of international consultants. And eight teams will be formed among these frameworks, and other charge of land operations, security, technical maintenance operations and marketing to ensure the eight daily flights scheduled.
Finally, it is clear that Syphax Airlines has elected its new headquarters in the buildings of the airport of Sfax Thyna, which will be hosted cabin crew and technical staff.

A regional office is based in Tunis, near the airport of Tunis Carthage, the company's secondary hub. In hope that this newborn will not face problems with the new changing government.
