Reactivation of blocked projects



President Marzouki received on monday at the Palais de Carthage, the Saudi businessman Sheikh Mohamed bin Issa Al Jaber. According to a public statement, the meeting focused on the potential investments of MBI International Group in Tunisia.


MBI International is a leading investments group operating in several fielsds (hotles, real estate development, oil and agro-industries) across western Europe, Middle East and USA with a net asset value in excess of 9 billion dollars.


The Saudi businessman said that his group will ensure to play a pioneer role in Tunisia in socio-economic and cultural domains, arguing that the success of the Tunisian Revolution is a success for the Arab and Islamic nation as a whole.


The Saudi businessman has expressed the will of MBI International group to revive the underconstruction projects and develop a certain number of hotels planned in 2005 and that were blocked under the old regime, which undoubtedly contribute to the creation of more jobs.


The MBI International group aims to establish a business center whose mission is to attract foreign investors and promote the image of Tunisia as an investment friendly zone.



As for the cultural sector, Sheikh Mohamed bin Issa Al Jaber affirmed the commitment of his group to fund a number of cultural and educational projects through the MBI Foundation Aljaber, well known for the quality of its cultural services in several countries.
